30 Rock: A moron says what?

This was my first time I sat down a watched a full episode of 30 Rock. I thought it was funny but I don't think that I would watch it on a regular basis just from seeing this one show. It seems like a show you need to know whats going on before you watch it like "The Office" in order to get some of the jokes. There were some funny parts which reminded me of other shows. For example the HD joke where Liz walked in front of the HD camera and it made her look worse then she did, that was funny because they did that on another show, and I could see that one coming. There were a couple of other funny parts, but overall since I wasn't sure what to expect I'm not sure about this show, I'll have to wait and see next episode to see if i like it.

  1. Yea for sure. I never watched this show before and I was not that impressed but maybe, like you said, I just need to see more of it to get whats going on. I'm not sure if I would make time to remember what time it is on and watch it week in and week out but I guess I'll have to wait and see next week.

  2. I agree; it can be very difficult to tune into any show with No Prior Knowledge (see Sean Crespo's site on TWoP). Especially when the season is coming to an end (only 2 or 3 more episodes left), which means they're really amping everything up. And since this is a digressive comedy, the viewer must juggle a thousand random references. I catch about 1/3 of them; the rest I have to go to the TWoP Reader's Forum to find. And that's fun, too.
